项目所在地台州已成为长三角地区重要的绿色无公害农产品生产供给基地，拥有有机食品认证农产品55个，中国绿色食品150个，国家无公害农产品274个，国家名牌农产品3个产品，浙江省著名商标24个，浙江名牌产品22个。2007年，全市粮食播种面积244.62万亩，产量84.2万吨；蔬菜种植面积110.45万亩，产量188万吨；果园面积93.2万亩，水果总产量达到115.69万吨，其中柑桔39万吨，杨梅11万吨；水产品产量达到138万吨。
The total investment is USD30 million, either solely funded or jointly funded. The completion of the project will realize an annual profit of USD5 million with a static investment payback period of 6-7 years. The construction includes a logistic center of agricultural products, inspection and testing system of agricultural products, processing and packing center of agricultural products, information publication and electronic settlement center of agricultural products, exhibition and scene exchange area of agricultural products. The project has been listed in the important construction project plan of the “Eleventh Five-year Plan” of Taizhou.
Taizhou, where the project is located, has become an important production and supply base of green and pollution-free agricultural products in Yangtze River Delta, with 55 organic agricultural products with food authentications, 150 China Green Food products, 274 national pollution-free agricultural products, 3 National Famous Brand agricultural products, 24 Zhejiang Famous Trademark products and 22 Zhejiang Famous Brand Products. In 2007, the rice planting area of the whole city was 2,446,200 mu with an output of 842,000 tons, the vegetable planting area was 1,104,500 mu with an output of 1,880,000 tons, the fruit garden area was 932,000 mu with a total fruit output of 1,156,900 tons, among which there were 390,000 tons oranges and 110,000 tons waxberries, as well as an output of 1,380,000 tons sea food.
