该项目位于台州市区西部，山清水秀，无企业污染，生态条件较好，辖区共有林地面积53.24万亩，耕地4.8万亩，园地4万亩，其中海拔高度在500米以上的山地占37.18%，土壤以红壤为主，气温较低垂直差异大，雨量充沛，年平均降雨量在1900毫米左右，适宜农业综合开发，发展特色生态经济。项目地交通便捷，劳动力富裕且成本低，农业产业发展已初具规模，农副产品的市场开发潜力大。
二、项目内容
该项目区建设以现有西部六乡一镇各类基地规模为基础，按5年规划的实施目标进行综合开发，分类分批培育一乡一品主导产业，从而逐步形成以高山蔬菜，笋竹两用林，东魁杨梅及柑桔为主的水果类，优质米与其它农产品等为主导产业的核心区块，规划到2011年建成5个现代农业综合开发示范区。

总投资5000万美元，项目计划建设期为3年，项目建成后年产值可达1000万美元,静态投资回收期5—6年。

I. Project environment
The project is located in the west of downtown Taizhou, with shimmering green hills and clear azure waters, no industrial pollution, and good ecological condition. The total district covers a forest area of 532,400 mu, a farmland of 48000 mu, and a garden area of 40000 mu, 37.18% of which is hill area of over 500 meters above sea level. Main component of the land is red soil, with low temperature and big vertical differences, and the sufficient annual rain fall of around 1900 mm is suitable for the comprehensive development of agriculture and ecological economy with characteristics. The location has convenient transportation, abundant yet cheap labor, the development of agriculture is forming the scale with promising market of agriculture byproducts.
II. Project content
Based on the 6 counties and 1 town in the west, core region with leading industries such as high mountainous vegetable, dual forest of bamboo and bamboo shoots, fruits with Dongkui waxberry and oranges as majority, high quality rice and other agriculture produce will be steadily formed according to the five-year plan of comprehensive development while cultivating one product for one county based on separate classifications and batches, and five development demonstration areas of modern agriculture will be constructed by 2011.
III. Investment budget and profit estimation
With a total investment of USD50 million and a planned construction period of three years, the project will achieve a production value of USD10 million after its completion, with a static investment payback period of 5-6 years.
