大麦屿港区地处我国黄金海岸线中部，是台州市、温州市交界的一个深水出海通道，区位优势明显，深水岸线资源丰富，避风条件良好。港口规划可用岸线30km，自然水深-13——-20m，其中水深13米以上的岸线长度达15km，一期规划港区平均宽度约4.5km，港区水域面积约62km²，深水贴近岸线平均约100m，陆域纵深800-1200m，是一个可建1-10万吨级泊位的理想港址。

大麦屿港区大岩头作业区位于玉环本岛西侧大麦屿经济开发区环海村与大龙湾村之间的牛头颈—大岩头岸段，全长约2.2km。该作业区现状地形呈内凹型，三面环山，一面临海，东连玉环岛，北枕牛头颈，南靠大岩头，西邻乐清湾，拟建海堤。围区地势由东北向西南倾斜，涂面高程在-2.0—2.0m之间，该作业区水深条件较好，规划为石化作业区。

总投资2200万美元，将建设成为液体化工及成品油作业区，以及作为大型矿石中转码头。在牛头颈与大岩头之间建总长约1.35km的海堤，通过围垦形成陆域。围垦面积约1120亩，其中已围面积约120亩，新围面积约1000亩。陆域前方自牛头颈附近由北向南布置5万、8万、10万、15万吨级大型液体散货泊位。并在8万和10万吨泊位之间顺岸布置万吨以下小型泊位6个，形成大小吨位配套互补的作业区布局。

浙江大麦屿港口开发建设有限公司为国有独资单位，负责大麦屿港区围涂等基础设施建设。

Damaiyu Port Area, located in the middle of China’s golden coastline, is a deepwater passage at the juncture of Taizhou and Wenzhou with favorable location condition, rich deepwater coastline resource and good shelter condition. The port’s coastline is 30 km long and 13-20 m deep as programmed. The coastline is up to 15 km long with above 13 m deep. In the first phase, the average width of the port area is about 4.5 km, the port area covers a sea area of 62 km², the average of deepwater-close-to-coastline is about 100m and the land depth is 300-1200 m. The port area is an ideal location to construct one 10,000-100,000 tonnage berths.

Based on the strategy of “developing big ports” in Taizhou, Daimaiyu Port Area is a prior development location of Taizhou deepwater port. Inner Island Shugang Avenue has been completed. Taizhou Coastal Passage (Expressway) under programming and Leqing Bay Cross-sea Bridge go through Damaiyu Port Area. The Land Collection & Distribution System is better day by day.

Damaiyu Port Dayantou Operation Area is located in Niutoujing-Dayantou coastal section between Damaiyu Economic Development Zone Huanhai Village and Dalongwan Village on the west side of Yuhuan Main Island. The whole line is about 2.2 km long. With the concave landform, the operation area is confronted with the sea on one side, surrounded by mountains on other three sides, east to Yuhuan Island, north to Niutoujing, south to Dayantou and west to Leqing Bay. A seawall is to be constructed as planned. The reclamation area’s topography is sloping from northeast to southwest with the coastal height between -2.0m and 2.0m. The operation area has considerably good deepwater condition. It is planed to be a Petrochemical Operation Area.

With a total investment of 22 million USD, the project will be constructed to be Liquid Chemical & Processed Oil Operation Area and Large-scale Ore Transfer Wharf. 1.35 km long seawall will be constructed between Noutoujing and Dayantou. The land area will form after reclamation. The reclamation area is about 1,120 mu with a reclaimed area of 120 mu and a new reclaimed area of 1,000 mu. In the front of the land area, near Niutoujing, the project is to construct 50,000, 80,000, 100,000 and 150,000 tonnage large-scale liquid bulk berths from north to south. Six less than 10,000 tonnage small-scale berths will be built between 80,000 and 100,000 tonnage berths. The big and small tonnage supporting complementary operation area layout is to be formed.

The Chinese Party can complete coastal reclamation, outer port collection & distribution road and supporting facility construction. It will offer land-use rights.

Zhejiang Damaiyu Port Development & Construction Co., Ltd. is a state-owned sole-invested enterprise. It is in charge of Damaiyu Port Area Reclamation and other infrastructure construction.
