I. Background & Construction Conditions:
Damaiyu Port Area, located in the middle of China’s golden coastline, is a deepwater passage at the juncture of Taizhou and Wenzhou with favorable location condition, rich deepwater coastline resource and good shelter condition. The port’s coastline is 30 km long and 13-20 m deep as programmed. The coastline is up to 15 km long with above 13 m deep. In the first phase, the average width of the port area is about 4.5 km, the port area covers a sea area of 62 km2, the average of deepwater-close-to-coastline is about 100m and the land depth is 300-1200 m. The port area is an ideal location to construct one 10,000-100,000 tonnage berths.
Based on the strategy of “developing big ports” in Taizhou, Daimaiyu Port Area is a prior development location of Taizhou deepwater port. Inner Island Shugang Avenue has been completed. Taizhou Coastal Passage (Expressway) under programming and Leqing Bay Cross-sea Bridge go through Damaiyu Port Area. The Land Collection & Distribution System is better day by day.
Lianyu Operation Area, located in the westernmost area of Yuanhuan Byland, is in the section between Lianyu and Waiyu of Damaiyu Port Area, 12 km from Yuanhuan County. The reclamation area is east to the highway, west to the sea, north to the planned 10,000 tonnage wharf and south to the planned Lianyu Ship Repairing Yard.
II. Preparations or Progress:
At present, the project’s proposal has been worked out.
III. Construction Scale & Content:
The project’s total investment is about 18 million USD. The project is to construct a seawall with 1.99 km long. The reclamation area is about 870 mu. After reclamation, the land area will form, which will lay a foundation for the construction of Lianyu Operation Area.
Three 50,000 and One 15,000 tonnage berths is to be constructed in the coastal Waiyu - Baidun section, as the supporting wharfs of the rear Huaneng Power Generation Plant. Coastal Lianyu and coastal Waiyu, combining with the rear Lingang Industry, are to construct four over 10,000 tonnage bulk berths.

V. Investment of Chinese Party:
The Chinese Party can complete coastal reclamation, outer port collection & distribution road and supporting facility construction. It will offer land-use rights.
VI. Chinese Party Introduction:
Zhejiang Damaiyu Port Development & Construction Co., Ltd. is a state-owned sole-invested enterprise. It is in charge of Damaiyu Port Area Reclamation and other infrastructure construction.
